In the scouting world, there's no distance that will keep scouts from travelling to view a must-see prospect. Back in late January, Head Scout Brendan Ross was visiting family in beautiful Kenora, Ontario on the frozen banks of the Lake of the Woods and had heard about their AAA team playing. After his plane landed in Winnipeg and he and his wife travelled two-and-a-half hours east to Kenora, they made a pit-stop at the local rink. Ross had heard buzz earlier in the year about a 2001-born prospect that was flying under the radar so he felt it was the perfect opportunity to check this team out. Fortunately, the Thistles coaching staff were more than happy to sit down and talk about some of their players and the one player that came up frequently was a kid by the name of Carter Tresoor.
