SUBSCRIBERS: 2016 Whitby Silver Stick Report (Top 50 Performers + more)

The Whitby Silver Stick Tournament always provides a good measuring stick for scouts on players eligible for the OHL Priority Selection. With almost three months under their belts, players are able to showcase themselves in mid-season form with all of the rust knocked off of the game. The tournament field is stacked with highly talented teams from across the province and Michigan and the opportunity to display their talents against top competition provides a level playing field scouts to confidently assess their individual traits. It was a successful weekend filled with some extremely exciting matchups but eventually it was the deep talented Mississauga Rebels squad that would capture the 2015 Silver Stick championship edging out the Toronto Marlboros on Sunday afternoon.

It was a busy week for our scouting team with Brendan Ross (Director of Scouting), Andrew Sykes (Alliance), Matt Grainda (USA), Brett Dowell (GTHL), Matt Barbara (ETA), Brent Craswell (Ottawa) and Matt Stewart (SCTA) all taking in the action.

Our team of scouts have submitted their candid thoughts on player performances from the tournament and concluded our 6000+ word report with a Top 50 performers list.

Watch for our updated OHL Draft rankings early next week!
