FEATURE: GTHL Scout Projects Top Prospects Game

mason primeau PKSubmitted by Brett Dowell, GTHL Scout for TheScout.ca

A task that is one of the most difficult jobs in minor hockey – having to pick who is most deserving for the GTHL Top Prospects Game Powered by Under Armour. With so many talented players at the 2001 level this year, this is no easy task. In selecting the top 40, the following assumptions were made:

  1. All players are eligible – there is no maximum or minimum for each team,
  2. Teams were not grouped (so the top players could be chosen).
  3. Evaluation has been done up until November 27th
  4. Injured players will not be excluded.
  5. 24 forwards, 12 defensemen, and 4 goaltenders are selected for this list.

While the coaching staff and selection committee have their own criteria, my top 40 prospects listed below are who I think deserve to be there at Scotiabank Pond on December 13th.
