Barrie Colts General Manager Jason Ford made the announcement on Monday afternoon at the Barrie Molson Centre. "Scott is a competitive two-way forward that had an excellent season and plenty of ice-time to develop as a 16-year old playing with the Burlington Jr. A team", said Ford. The Colts originally selected Scott in the fourth round, 80th overall, in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. "He is a character kid and his game improved immensely this past season. He has very good hockey sense and his skill-level will put him into a position to contribute on the offensive end over time", added Ford. Last season the Burlington native posted 14 goals and 35 points in 47 games played with the Burlington Cougars Jr. A. Press Release, Barrie Colts, June 25, 2012 |
